Capturing stories of the early mountain settlers and the 500 year old Native American archaeological site, the museum gallery exhibits artifacts of exploration, natural history, animals of Southwest Virginia, Native American heritage, long hunters, the Revolutionary War, early schools, churches, governments and communities, the Civil War, coal mining, decorative arts, furniture, music, and craft.
